We are drawing near that 52 week mark! I truly can NOT believe how fast this year has gone for our family. So much of our lives revolve around Addison these days and we are LOVING every minute of it!
Addie loves to walk with us as we are holding her hands, but you let go of one hand and down she goes to crawl! She is a little frightened yet, but was able to completely let go of her toy box the other day and stand for about ten seconds! The toy then became too distracting and down she went. I don't even think Addie realized she had done it because her toys are just too interesting!
She is all over the house and has even tried to escape outside. She crawled to the storm door which was not latched right and she started going outside like it was a normal thing! I stood there and watched her hold the door open, crawling outside, saying "Emma. Emma, Emma" the entire time! Crazy girl! Don't worry -- there is a deck or patio out of all our door -- no steps!

We have finally fell into a great routine in our house (only to have it all messed up this week because I am teaching vacation bible school and don't get home with Addie until almost 9pm!). Addie wakes up at about 7am each morning, some mornings closer to 7:30, which is fine with me! I get up when Addie gets up, so the longer she sleeps -- the longer I sleep! We change her diaper and have a little playtime before eating breakfast at about 8:00am. She eats a serving of fruit and either egg yolk, oatmeal, toast, pancakes (her favorite), or just dry cereal. We really have not found anything she does not like! She takes a nap around 10:30am for about an hour or so. At noon we eat lunch. She has a serving of fruit and veggie and a form of protein. She takes her second nap at around 2-3pm. She eats just about the same for supper as she does for lunch, which she eats at about 6:00pm. After supper she plays for awhile, takes a bath at about 7:30pm. We then get her pajamas on, brush her little chompers, read her a story and feed her a bottle, then put her to bed at about 8:30. She is doing well at going to bed on her own again! Thank goodness! I am hopeful that after this week we can fall right back into this routine!
She continues to ignore the word "no" and it seems that she only ignores it from me! My grandma watches her and says "no" -- Addie listens. Daddy tells her "no" -- Addie listens. Mommy tells her "no" -- Addie continues to do whatever it was that she was doing! I don't understand... I then try to evaluate what I am telling her "no" over, making sure I am not over-using the word. Here are the main things I tell Addie "no" when she is doing them: standing against our curio cabinet pounding on the glass, playing with the plug-in covers, biting the rug, and her favorite one.....putting her hands in the VCR. Things that I think she should not be doing. Things that she does EVERYDAY!! I don't
think I over-use the word. I don't know what the answer is, it certainly isn't NO!!
Her favorite word is Emma. She gets up in the morning asking about Emma. She literally will say her name until you take Addie to Emma! She continues to call every dog she sees Emma and goes crazy when she sees them! If she is eating in her highchair and Emma is not by the patio door, she will ask for Emma. When she is playing on the floor and doesn't see her by the door, she will ask for Emma! Don't get me wrong. She loves to say mama and dada too, just not as often!
Here are some picutres from our week!
Little Miss Innocent!
If you look closely you can see that we finally fit a ponytail in her her! Dan said that she looked like a sumo wrestler, but I thought it was adorable!
Uncle Max reading Addie a book! She loves reading books. She turns the pages for you and sometimes will start talking along with you!
After supper that night. She was obviously ready for bed early! Max wears this little stinker out!
On her way to her toys...she stopped to let mommy snap a picture!
Watching the birds in the window.
Our new fashion! I love painting her little toes! The trick to doing this is to stick her in her highchair so she can not see what you are doing! I couldn't get a very good picture, but I think you can kind of see her little flowers we put on her big toes! SO CUTE!!
And we sum up the night with a nakey picture!! Addison's doctor told me that if she wears bug spray we have go kind of rinse her off before her bath, so we decided to just give her a shower that night. She LOVED it. In the picture she could hardly wait to get in and kept trying to crawl in herself! I think she thought she was pretty BIG stuff!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great night.
