Forty-two weeks today! The weeks seem to pass so quickly these days! Today we finally went for our nine month pictures. We had to go without daddy because we just couldn't work into our photographers schedule with his schedule...so it was just mommy and Addie today. It turned out to be a difficult session with smiles few and far between. It didn't matter what kind of silly things Nichole and I would come up with, Addie would have none of it! I think that many factors contributed. First of all we went in the morning and Addie really is not a morning baby, second we have teeth bothering her, and third daddy was not with us. Daddy is the one that can really make her laugh. I think she just gets a little bored with me since she is with me all the time and she thinks that daddy is just the greatest thing in the world when he is around. So we learned that we don't take pictures in the morning, we take daddy with us, and Nichole and I need to work on our baby-laughing moves! I have no doubt that the pictures will still turn out, but frustrating to say the least!
Addie is so active these days! I can barely keep up with the little girl during the day. She is always on the go, and when she knows she is about to get in trouble for where she is going...she moves even faster! She has started to let go of the furniture and wants to walk forward, but ends up getting on the floor and crawling. She will let go between our couch and chair to take a step, but gets a little frightened when there is nothing in sight to hold on to.
She is also talking SO much! She is now saying "kitty" when she sees our kitties outside. She has finally realized that not every black four-legged creature is Emma (which is still her favorite word)! Another one of her famous sayings is "yayaya," which she crawls around saying a lot!
Her bottom teeth are FINALLY starting to peek through a little! This will be tooth number seven and eight for her! Because of her teething we have had to take all her fuzzy stuffed animals away from her so she would stop biting and eating their fur! Today we did pictures outside and she kept trying to eat rocks and lily pads. She eats ANYTHING on the floor (which is why I have to sweep every day). She really just bites and chews anything that looks appealing to her, and I can NOT wait until this teething stage is over!
Here are some pictures we would like to share from our week...
Goofin' around with mommy...
and nappin' with daddy!!
Time for confessions! Okay, normally I try to keep a very clean house, but the older Addison gets, the harder it is to keep it all picked up. The problem is that as soon as I put it away, Addie honestly will crawl over and take it right back out! So I have learned to just pick it all up at the end of the day! And another confession...sometimes I am just too dang tired at the end of the day and they are still there the next day! I have really learned to let go of having a spotless house. There are SO many other important things to worry about and a little girl who deserves mommy's time! For those of you who know me, this is a big step! I still have not gotten over dirty dishes in the sink though...still gives me anxiety! I'll work on it!

This was from the week at bible school. The week I was just too dang tired to pick the house up after I got home at 9pm, scrambling to give Addie a bath, feed her a bottle, read her a book, brush her teeth, and put her to bed (much later than her normal bedtime)....after dealing with 15 Pre-K and Kindergartners all night. I can't imagine why I had no energy to pick up her toys! So at the end of the week we had toys shoved under the couch and ALL over the living room!
Addie was sitting on the couch with me when I looked over and she had passed out!
This weekend daddy decided to wash a couple of our cows for the fair! Addie sat outside next to Emma to watch him. She loves watching her daddy!
Reading one of her books! You have to keep a close eye on her with her books or she will eat them! Must be some delicious books!!
Addie also took her first BIG girl bath this week! After I watched her at the pool I thought that she was ready. The only problem is that she thinks she can just crawl all around the bath, which makes me very nervous! Although she feels like she is really big stuff when she gets take her big girl bath!
Apparently daddy is not quick enough getting our little Addison ready! She felt she was dressed enough with no shirt and just took off!
On that note...everyone have a great week!!
