Weeks 8-12

Crazy to think that I am done with my first trimester already!  I was 12 weeks on Sunday and am finally feeling good.  We found out we were expecting in July.  It was quite unexpected for us, but we were (and are) more than thrilled.  It happened at such a crazy time that I have felt it took a long time for it to really soak in.  I am hoping we can really focus on getting unpacked and settled these next few weeks, so we can spend this time enjoying this pregnancy and Addie's time left as an only child.

These first 12 weeks have been filled with lots of nausea, lots more than with Addie.  It was so difficult to function at work feeling so awful all day long.  I felt so bad for Addie because when I returned home, I was so tired and I didn't feel well.  Lots of time resting and cuddling with Addie.  I am one lucky momma to have such a cuddle-bug.

I am now feeling much better and have a few bouts of nausea here and there, but nothing as debilitating as I was having.  I am still very tired and ready for bed around 8:30 or so.  I have been having quite a few headaches, but other than that I am feeling good.  I am definitely looking forward to feeling baby move and finding out what we are having!

Addie is very excited about her baby brother or sister.  She is always wanting to buy something at the store for the baby and is always touching my belly.  She calls it "my baby in mommy's tummy" -- everything is apparently "hers" these days!

I was also surprised at how fast you grow with the second baby.  I ended up telling people earlier than planned because there just was no hiding it any longer.  I am already having to wear my belly band and some maternity clothes.  I am just hoping I don't get as big as I did with Addie!  Here is a picture at 12 weeks...

Summer Wrap-up...

Oh my goodness...I can not believe how fast summer flew by.  We were just a little busy this summer, and I have gotten just a little behind in the blogging department.  Throughout the chaos of selling the farm, buying a new house, moving, and the pregnancy we have found time to have a little fun!  So much so that we are still not unpacked!

We have been camping a few times.  Addie loves going camping, especially since she met a few new friends.  This is her friend, Autumn.  She has a great time with Autumn, in this picture it was Halloween weekend at the campground.

In August we went to Milwaukee, WI to celebrate Dan's cousin's wedding (I will post more pics of that).  On the way home we stopped at the zoo in Madison.  Addie has been asking to go to a zoo, so she was thrilled!

Our fist makeup attempt...
I was making lunch one day and suddenly realized that I hadn't heard Addie in a few minutes.  I decided to go check on her and I couldn't find her.  After realizing that Emma was looking under Addie's bed, I decided to look.  She was hiding under the bed...when I asked what she was doing under there, she immediately replied' "I didn't get in your makeup, Mom."  Ummm...I don't think she could get away with that one!  She really thought she looked like a princess.

This Sunday was Addie's first day of Sunday school for the year.  This year we gave Spark Story Bibles to the kids starting Sunday school for the first time.  This is actually Addie's 2nd year, but she will technically be in the Nursery class with me for another year yet.

After we took a picture with her Bible, she insisted that we get a few pictures with Emma.  Can you tell that Emma is absolutely thrilled to have her picture taken?!!

Addie loves having Emma in the house.  We had to shave her because her hair was so crazy from being outside.  I'm just hoping it grows back quickly!
This wraps up all my phone pictures.  I still have more to catch up on, so stay tuned!
