Addie update...
Our lives have not seemed to slow down quite yet. This weekend we have Dan's cousin wedding, in which Addie is the flower girl. The past few weeks I have not been able to get her to put on the dress, so I told her it was princess Addie's dress, and she put it ON!! Let's hope that later today she will do the same! Little nervous...
She continues to learn SO much. She is great with her colors and shapes, and is now learning her letters. We are working on learning her name and she has the A down, but makes up the rest of the letters at this point. She usually says "A-O-A-I...." or similar to that. She is able to recognize when you write her name down or she sees it written somewhere. She talks very well and her vocabulary grows all the time.
She sleeps well in her own bed, but requires either Dan or I to lay with her until she falls asleep. This started when I went back to work. I really think she just wants a little more time with us, so we take turns doing this. She doesn't take long to fall asleep, but it certainly makes us ready for bed when we have been laying in a dark room for 15 minutes! She sleeps through the night, but sometimes wakes up to go potty.
She loves to play and goof around, twirl in circles, and pretend to ride her horsey around the house! Well, those are just a few of her favorites. She loves playing with her babies, 52 card pick-up (mom and dad don't like this game so much), reading her books, helping mom cook, watching Calliou, and playing outside.
A few pictures to complete Miss Addie's update....
~Addie Update~
Addie is such a wonderful 2-year old. Don't get me wrong, we see the "terrible twos" come right out of her sometimes, but it is manageable. She is fully potty trained, day and NIGHT!! Every once and awhile we have an accident at night if she drank too late, but she does AWESOME! I think we started not diapering her at night three weeks ago and she has only had three accidents (at night). She continues to learn SO much. She is great with her colors and shapes, and is now learning her letters. We are working on learning her name and she has the A down, but makes up the rest of the letters at this point. This little incident happened a few weeks ago. Addie got a little wild with a red marker, and she was SO sneaky about it! Needless to say, we took 2 baths that night!
Addie LOVES Sunday School. She will ask to go all the time. Here she is painting her first picture with water colors. She did SO well with it, so I bought some for home too!
Addie's "i'm up to something" look...
hard at work.
tickles from mommy!
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!! :)

first snow...
We had our first snow this fall, and I don't think anyone was more excited than our little Addie! She insisted that she wear her snow boots today and go out to play in the snow. Thank goodness it didn't last long and it is now melted...but not before I captured a few pics of our Addie...

Addison's first haircut!
Addie had her first haircut on Saturday...
...and she really enjoyed it. Can't you tell?!!
She sat very well with mommy!
We had a little taken off her bangs and a little off the back to even out the length.
She was SO proud of herself when she was done! She still has wild curly hair, it's just a little shorter now! I just can't believe how fast our little girl is growing up!

Happy Halloween!
Halloween was much different this year with working full time. It was a rush to get home to get this little ladybug ready! Thank goodness we had a little extra time, because this was NOT the costume we had for her to wear this Halloween! She actually had a ladybug costume, but she really wanted to wear this tutu. Luckily We had these wings, and just went with the outfit. I think it looked cute, and Addie labeled herself as the "bug princess." She definitely has a mind of her own!
This was about the best picture we could get out of the two of these characters! Max's mustache cracks me up!
Adorable little ladybug! She loved her wings, but has trouble walking through doors and grandma vehicle at times. We kept hearing "my wings stuck, wings stuck!" It was too cute!
Addie would not walk up to the house, she had to have mommy or daddy carry her. She was very shy and would not say "trick-or-treat" when she came up to a stranger. Although, she would say it any other time! She did tell them "thank you" for her candy, though. That's a step!
Once she figured out the process of going up and getting candy, she LOVED it! She would pick out red candy when it was there and wanted to eat her entire bucket! Daddy let her have more than enough...he is such a softie. If there was no mommy in this house, Addie would be doing WHATEVER she wanted WHENEVER she wanted!! She definitely had daddy wrapped around her little finger!
We mainly stopped at the doors of family and friends. When we stopped at Grandma's house Addie got a special treat bag with all her favorites!
We had a blast this Halloween! Addie is at such a great age, and is so enjoyable (most of the time)!! We hope everyone had a great Halloween!!
