The past few weeks...

Here we are again...behind on blogging!  Life gets a little crazy sometimes with a two (almost two and a half) year old!  Addie keeps us plenty busy and life is so much fun with her.  She will officially be at the two and a half mark next week, so look for a full update then!

Here is a few things we have been up to the past few weeks...or the things I caught on camera anyway!

Addison loves to drink tea with mommy.  She decided to drink hers out of a pitcher.

Breakfast time!

Doing her "work" as Addie calls it!

A few weeks ago we went to see my friend from high school and her TWINS!  Addie was so excited. She talked about going to see the babies all day.  Here she is holding Blair, she was a little nervous.  She said, "mom, baby moving?!"  Yes, Addie.  Babies do move!

She also piled Blair with toys.  Actually she did this with both girls!  I didn't even get a picture of Braylynn while we were there.  I may have been a little more focused on getting MY baby fix!  My Addie just isn't a baby anymore!  I will have to capture some more pictures next visit!

Addie and her many faces...

Definitely having too much fun with our tongue hanging out!

I have really been slacking in the picture department.  Hoping that with the warm weather we will be getting the camera out more!  Addie loves playing outside and we have been taking advantage of this wonderful spring weather!

I shouldn't have said it...

A few weeks ago I was at work telling one of my co-workers how healthy our family has been.  It has been over 4 years since I have had the flu and more than that for Dan.  Addie has only been on antibiotics one time in her life and has never had the flu!  Pretty healthy family I say!  That was, up until last week!  -- Like I said, I shouldn't have spoke! --

Tuesday night I put Addie to bed.  She got up once and came to our room and asked if she could sleep with us.  I told her that she was a big girl and put her back in her bed.  About 10 minutes later I heard Addie "cough"...or that is what I thought I heard.  She comes into our room and says, "Mom!  I have the hiccups in my bed!"  I told her that it was okay to have the hiccups in her bed and that she needed to go lay back down and go to sleep.  She says "NO, I have hiccups ALL OVER MY BED!"  That is when I saw it all over her pajamas!  We went into her room to find it all over her bed AND wall.  Thank goodness for my wonderful husband who cleaned that up, and cleaned up after her the other four times she "hiccuped"!  By the 4th and 5th incident, he had taught Addie how to use a bucket, which saved lots of blankets to clean!

I felt terrible for her.  Nothing worse than a sick little girl!  She has now learned the correct word, as I found out when I was telling my friend this story!  Addie turned to me and said, "No, mom.  I not hiccup, I puke all over my bed!"  You just never know with that girl!

If it wasn't bad enough that Addie had the flu, Dan got it on Wednesday night and was home all day Thursday.  THEN I got it on Thursday night and was home all day Friday.  It took Dan and I an entire day to recuperate.  Addie was up and running the morning after she was sick all night.  Oh, to be young again!

I think we are now in the clear, but those few days were NOT fun!  I was just thankful that we were all sick at different times so we could take care of one another!  Let's hope for a better week!

No. 44: BOWLING!!

On Friday night, we packed up Addie and Max to go bowling!!  Addie talked about it ALL day Friday, and it took everyone telling her that we had to wait for Max to get out of school to go.  On the way to the bowling alley Addie asked Max what color of ball he was going to get, because she was getting a RED ball!

Addie loved that she got special shoes!  They were a little big, but they worked!

Uncle Max showing off his bowling skills...even though mom had the highest score! (Just had to point that out!)

She loved bowling, but when they turned on the cosmic bowling and had lights with fun music, dancing was more fun!

Uncle Max helping Addie bowl!

The two little bowlers...

Photo attempt...Addie really wanted down to dance.  Wish I had half of her energy!
Bowling was a GREAT experience with Addie.  I am sure we will be doing it again!

A few random pics...

Sharing a few random pictures from the past few weeks..  Addie really IS something else, and you never know what you may get out of her when you attempt to take a picture.  I hope for the best,  usually end up getting something like this....
(guess it's better than a frown!)

Driving naked...apparently more comfortable that way!

Addie and Jasmyn at a birthday party.  They love playing together!

Addie loves her babies and takes care of them all day.

When it's time for her to go to bed, baby goes to bed right along with her!

Addie attempted to convince me that it was raining outside so she could take her umbrella...

Semi-Wordless Wednesday...

I asked Addie to get her pajamas for her bath.  Apparently she also decided to undress for her bath...and then was distracted by a good book!
