Little Dancer

I knew from the time Addie was little, she would love to dance...as she was doing the disco at a month old! 

I remember her sitting on the floor, making noises and dancing to her own tune.

 

 

She still loves to dance, and now I catch her in her room dancing to her music.  She says she is a ballerina.  This girl is still so dang cute!!

and of course you can not dance unless you are wearing a tutu and tights!

 

Addison Marie

We are getting excited around the house for baby A's arrival, but at the same time enjoying time with our only child before our home grows.  Addie is such a blast at this age, but at the same time can be a challenge.  Thankfully, the good outweighs the bad! 

 

Addie has such a fun personality.  She is like her daddy, and will do what she can to make people laugh.  At the same time, she has a huge heart and never hesitates to give hugs and kisses and tell you that she loves you.  This morning when I got her up she said, "I like to give you hugs because I love you so much, mom."  Never any greater moments than these!

 

We have gotten a little behind in the blogging department again, so I wanted to share some Addie pictures...

 

This girl loves tattoos...and putting them on any willing participant.

 

Addie is a very artistic girl.  She loves doing arts and crafts.  This girl comes up with some creative things!  We worked on Valentines for weeks and is still asking to make them.  I picked up some things for Easter crafts today, so Addie will be thrilled!  She also loves to draw pictures and is beginning to draw people.  The other day she brought home a picture of her and me...melted my heart!

 

This was taken in January when we had a heat wave!  We played outside for a few hours.  It was nice to have some fresh air!

 

I know, sometimes we are awful to this girl!  Her hair just clings to our couches.  I may have rubbed her hair on the couch and pulled her away!  She thought it was fun...

 

Addie also got a Valentine in the mail from Great Grandma Barb.  She is thrilled whenever she gets mail!

 

We are training Addie to do all the housework when baby A comes...just kidding.  But that would seriously be AWESOME!!  The great thing about this, is that she asks to do the dishes!

Life is sure going to get chaotic in a few short weeks!!

30 Weeks!

We are 30 weeks along and have a date set to meet baby A!!  Our date is set for the first day of spring, March 20th!  I think it will be a perfect day to welcome our little spring baby into the family.  Unless she decides to come early...

The pregnancy is going well.  Still some hip issues, but if I don't over-do it, they seem to be fine.  Heartburn has become a daily occurrence.  This little girl better have some hair!  We are now going to two week appointments and Addie was even able to come to our last one.  She was so excited to hear baby A's heartbeat.  She asked our doctor if he would be able to take out her baby sister that day.  Today she asked us when March is coming because she wants her baby sister to be here!  She is so excited for her baby sister. 

We painted baby A's room last weekend and began to put together her crib and changing table.  Hard to believe how close we are getting!  I will post some pictures when the nursery is all done.  Thanks to Pinterest, I have lots of projects to accomplish!

New year...THIRD trimester!!

With the new year, came a new milestone with pregnancy 2!  We hit the third trimester last Sunday.  Hard to believe how fast the time is going.  We are very excited for March to get here!

I have been feeling good, other than my hips/lower back.  I have been seeing my chiropractor, which has been helping. I am starting to get increasingly tired, I go to bed around 9pm each night.  Thank goodness for my wonderful husband who puts Addie to bed each night so I can go to bed too!

 I had my glucose test at my last appointment and passed!  We are still waiting for a call to set up the c-section date, as the docs have not come out with the March schedule as of yet.  Looking forward to having an actual date to meet baby A!!  Our next appointment is this Friday and I think we start our 2 week appointments from there.  March should be here before we know it!

The new year...

We were excited to roll in 2013.  Hard to believe that last year went by so quickly.  2012 definitely had its ups and downs for our family, so a new start sounds like the perfect plan!  We are really settling into our new home and are VERY excited to be bringing home baby A in just a few short months.  Today we plan on starting on baby A's room!  Addie, Aunt Em, and I are going shopping for some fabric and things for a few other projects!

Last year I made a list of activities our family could do in 2012.  Due to all the craziness of the year, many of those were not accomplished.  My plan for 2013 is to continue with that list and add a few more things since we will be adding a new little one to our family.  My goal this weekend is to get through that list! 

This year we rolled in the new year pretty low-key.  We went and spent some time with my parents, had supper, and then came home to hang out as a family.  I did not make it to midnight (most nights I don't even see 10pm...) BUT, Addie and Dan did!  Dan told Addie that she could stay up with him and ever since she has been trying to convince us that she can stay up until midnight!  The only reason she made it was because she took a late nap, falling asleep with Grandpa on the couch!
