Random thoughts in Momma's head...

I can NOT believe my little girl is going to be TWO years old on Thursday.  We could not imagine our lives without our little Addie.  She is such a blessing!

I took Addie to the doctor this morning because she hasn't been sleeping well at night.  She gets up around 1-2am and screams and flails around.  She had been tugging at her ears this weekend and I know that your ears can hurt worse when you lay down.  We went to our new doctor today and I was VERY happy with him!  This relives a lot of my stress, let me tell ya.  When I went back to work my insurance only covered certain doctors/clinics because the Hospice I work for is under a hospital.  I have been dreading the fact that we would have to start with someone new, but was relieved today when he had Addie open up and telling him stories within the first two minutes!  She was telling him about her cupcake party.  It was adorable!  He was WONDERFUL!!  BUT, didn't find anything wrong with Addie....ugh!  We both came to the conclusion that she may be constipated and have some pains from that.  Addie has been doing wonderful with wearing big girl undies, but she seems to hold her bowels (she will hate me someday) because she does not like to do that in the potty.  I am going to try some high fiber remedies and see how that goes. --boy that was a long thought!

I have a giant bouncy house in my living-dining area and it is driving me nuts!  Just doesn't feel like the house is clean with that in the way.  Addie has a blast in it though, so I don't want to take it down.  Guess I'll deal.

I am loving my job, but I continue with the working mom guilt.  I honestly don't know if I will ever get over it because I know what it was like to stay home and I loved that too.  I have really learned to appreciate the little moments.

We have had a busy month and it continues the next few weekends.  Thursday we took the day off to spend time with Addie, we are going out with friends on Friday, heading to Wisconsin to the apple orchard on Saturday, and hopefully resting on Sunday.  Then next weekend is the Dairy Expo in Madison, WI.  I am hoping that it slows down after that.  I am really looking forward to a weekend with NO PLANS!

We have Addie's two-year pictures on Thursday (her birthday).  We did it that way last year too and it seemed to work well.  It is fun to know that her pictures were actually taken on her birthday.

Looking forward to Thursday and an entire day with my family!  Have a great week!  Here are some phone photos to share...

Having ice cream at Aunt Vicky and Uncle Mike's house.  She gets really spoiled when she goes there!

There picture crack me up!  I told Addie if she keeps smiling like that she is going to have lots of wrinkles when she gets older!

We love this girl SOOO much!

Cupcake party #2!!

Addie's second cupcake party took place on Saturday!  I think she may come to expect a cupcake party every weekend since we have done so much celebrating!  Addie had present opening and candle blowing down this weekend.  We all had a wonderful time and Addie received more than enough to play with the next year!

Addie helped momma blow up balloons!!

The girl loves her balloons.

Her first gift of the evening was her fishy, named Goldfish.  Addie insisted on this original name!

Addie's cupcakes....

Addie's birthday cake...after some licking!  I should have gotten a picture before I put the cake in front of her.  I worked for nearly a half-hour decorating this cake (as Dan made fun of me) and the reaction from Addie was priceless!  She LOVED it and wanted to eat it then, but we held her off!

Dad lighting the cake!  Exciting stuff!!

blowing out the candles!

We celebrated Max's birthday with the family as well.  He turned 8 on Thursday!!

Rapunzel!  All the way from Hawaii!! Thanks Aunt Debbie and Uncle Bill!

Addie's tag reader.  I am excited to try it, but I didn't read the box where it stated that it needed batteries!  oops!

The gift from Uncle Steve...and probably the highlight of Addie's night.  Once this came in the house, she wasn't coming out!

So we proceeded to open the rest of her presents in it!

New Rapunzel undies!!

Dad had to try out the new fun!

What a fabulous day with the family!!  Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate 2 years old!  We are so blessed!

Cupcake party #1

We had Addison's first birthday party for Dan's family this weekend.  We had to seperate the families because last year it was just too darn crowded.  Addie spoke of her "cupcake party" all weekend!  We asked Addie a few months ago what she wanted for her birthday and all she said was balloons and cupcakes.  So balloons and cupcakes is what she got!! It turned out wonderful and Addie had a great time (and too many cupcakes!)!!

Our birthday girl and her sassy face!

Presents!!

Oh my!  More baby stuff!  Addie has been hauling around this car seat all weekend!

Auntie Em and Addie!

Addie and Grandma made her birthday cake together!  I think Addie threw on every sprinkle that Grandma had!  She loved her cake!  It took her awhile to blow out her candle, but she got it!

Then she did this before tearing into it!  It looked like she was blessing her birthday cake!

She had no problems digging in this year!

Jasmyn and Addie playing with her new toys!

Addie, Hadley, and Jasmyn...the best shot we could get!

We ended the night in our cupcake pajamas and reading her new books!  Perfect day for a perfect little girl!

NO MORE DIAPERS and a few random pics...

It has been over a week since Addie has worn diapers! (minus night time)  I think we will tackle night-time when she has had time to master day-time.  She has only had one accident, and that was at the beginning of the week, so I think we are doing great!  I will have to admit that this is a stage I will NOT miss!

I haven't been the best with pictures this week, but here is a few random ones to share...

We put Addie down for a nap one day, and this is usually the time that I pick up her toys.  Only for her to start all over when she gets up.  On this day...this is what I found!  She lines up her babies so she can feed them!  She will be a great mama one day --- a very long time from now.

This is her favorite spot to hang out on the couch.

Such a goof!

We had the first birthday party for Addie this weekend.  A post to come!

fun with friends!

Last weekend we had some of our friends from high school over with their kiddos!  The kids loved playing together and the adults had a great time catching up!

Autumn and Addie helping each other with their shapes...

Our attempts at getting the kids together for pictures...notice Addie picking her nose!

Addie and Maverick really seemed to like each other!

I don't know what Addie said, but Maverick didn't like it!

Addie putting on her silly face, and Autumn putting on her mean girl face!  Kelsi says she has been working on that!

This is what our house looked like when the fun was over!  It was SO worth it.  Addie helped me pick up the next morning.  We played the "put the toys in the bucket" game!
It was wonderful to get everyone together!  Thanks to all our wonderful friends for all the fun!  We must do it again SOON!
**Be sure to check out posts below!  I did a little catching up today.**
