Girls night!

Last Thursday night Addie and I went out for a little girls night.  Addie wanted her hair cut, as she kept telling me that her hair was crazy!  After her hair was done, we had our nails done!!

Addie loved it, picking green as her color...
Addie loved her nails!  Although the polish was gone by the next day!  Oh, well.  At least we had FuN!!

Mother's Day 2012

I had a wonderful Mother's Day this year.  Dan and Addie always know how to make a day special.  We started the morning with our last day of Sunday School and the kiddos sang in church.  Addie did wonderful, singing the songs and doing all the actions!

We then went home to play outside and Daddy grilled steak.  We attempted to get a picture, but unless you snapped one without her knowing, she really wasn't having any part of it all day.

Blowing some bubbles...

We then went over to see Grandma Jen... Addie of course had to jump!

...mom got in on a little action, too!

The two trouble makers...

Playing with Grandma and Max.

To end our evening, we went to Auntie Em's house for supper...

This was the only picture I got of Addie and Grandma Dawn.  She was a wild child by the end of the night!  Contrary to how this picture appears.  I'm pretty sure Addie was only on Grandma's lap for 10 seconds and I happened to get this picture!
Overall, a wonderful Mother's day!!  Addie was thrilled to give her presents, and the grandma's LOVED them!!

Mother's day projects...

On Saturday we were working away at our Mother's Day gifts this year.  I love that Addie is getting old enough to create her own magic.  She loves to paint, so painting we did.  We got my mom a jewelry box and Dan's mom and bird house.  Addie had a blast, wanting to paint them again when they dried!

Addie is a very artistic little girl.  Notice she does not mix paints, but precisely (for a 2yr old) covers every inch!  She even stays in the lines very well for her age when she colors!  She does have some of her mother in her!

She is focused...

When we got to Grandma Dawns birdhouse, Addie found the big sponge, and things got a little more interesting!
We had a blast!  Had to wait to post until both Grandma's got their gift.  We still have a flower pot to paint for great grandma!  Mother's day post coming!!

Daddy's lil" helper...

Addie loves to go out and help Dan with anything on the farm.  He often is milking cows with Addie on his shoulders (I really need to snap a picture of this).  Last weekend Addie woke up from her nap and was just in her undies.  I took her pants off because she had stuff all over her shorts (imagine that in a toddler).  She came out of her room and sat with me for a few minutes then disappeared.  When she walked back to me, this is what I saw...

She walked in and said, "Okay, I'm ready to go and help Daddy!"  I couldn't help but laugh.  How cute is this?  She didn't feel that there was anything wrong with this.  Apparently all you need is boots to go out in the barn.  Pants are just an option!!

One of my favorite pics.  I love these two!!

Spring!

The past few weeks we have been enjoying time in the wonderful spring weather.  Any day we pull in the driveway and it is nice and sunny out, Addie says "It's a nice sunny day, we have to play outside, mom!"  Needless to say, supper is then a rush to get done, but our little girl is happy and that is all that matters!  Daddy usually saves me so I can go in and make supper.

Last weekend we went to the park for a few hours to play.  Addie is getting so brave will all the equipment and no slide or climb scares this little girl (although it makes momma pretty nervous!) We arrived home about five minutes before a hail storm hit.  Here are some photos from our day.

Okay, maybe a more than a "few" pictures, but I love to take them!  So grateful for this beautiful weather!!  We have a busy couple weeks ahead with Uncle Jon graduating!
