More phone photos!

Dumping a few more photos from my phone!

Taken before our trip to the park...

Addie playing at the park.  She had a blast!

Notice Lainey and her excitement!  Also take note that she is in a different outfit.  We didn't make it out the door before we had to change again!

Getting "the look."

The day before returning to work, Addie ended up with the flu.  I am convinced that it was God's little way of making the transition easier, because after a day of cleaning up that mess (several times), and doing tons of laundry, I needed a break from mommy-hood!  It was a great day for snuggles though!  This is a picture of Addie that day, when she was feeling okay.  My aunt picked us up some 7up for her to drink and also brought her tattoos.  She would start putting them on when she was feeling better.  I am pretty sure she put every tattoo on from that package!

Lainey with Emma...

Lainey on my first day to work.  She chatted with momma as I packed my lunch.

Uncle Mike's dog, Lily...She's HUGE!

Lainey with Grandma attempting to sit up...

Addie had her first full day of daycare today.  When we got home, she sat on the couch and was out 5 minutes later!  She loves it at her new daycare and has made lots of new friends!

My first week back (which consisted of two days) went by pretty quickly!  I had lots to catch up on, but I survived!  It felt good to be back, but the girls were always on my mind.  Hoping it gets easier these next few weeks!

12 WEEKS

T-minus TWO days...

*deep sigh* Thursday is the day.  The dreaded day of returning to work.  It has been such a wonderful 12 weeks with the girls at home.  I have truly cherished every moment of it!  Don't get me wrong, I DO love my job, but if I could swing it financially, I would stay home with the girls in a heartbeat!  It is just hard to believe how fast 12 weeks can fly!  So, until Thursday I am going to have LOTS of fun with my two little girls and soak up as much sweetness as possible!

On a positive note, I did ask to have my hours reduced and it was approved, so I will at least have a day off every other week (while keeping my full-time benefits!).  I am going to dedicate this day to the girls.  NO cleaning, NO laundry, JUST GIRL TIME!

The past few days we have been having lots of fun, it's been nice that the weather has finally decided to act like it's supposed to in June!  Just when I have to go back to work!

 Best buds...

This picture makes me giggle.  Lainey looks pretty concerned.  Dan and I both said it was because she was afraid of her sister dropping her!  It even looks like the is praying that she doesn't get dropped!  Growing up with four brothers and no sisters, I LOVE that I get to watch Addie and Alaina's relationship grow as sisters!

Today I took Addie and Lainey to daycare and left them for the first time.  They are starting a new daycare because I former daycare provider couldn't take another baby.  We went to visit together last week, but it was hard to actually leave them today.  Not gonna lie, a few tears were shed -- even though I trust Rhonda with my whole heart, it's hard knowing that I am going to have to leave them all day starting on Thursday!  They get to go to Rhonda's house two days a week, Grandma has them two days a week, and my grandma has them once every other week.  They will have great care where ever they are, and that makes me feel good!

Addie LOVED her first day at Rhonda's.  She actually didn't even want to come home with me!  She didn't stop talking about all the kids and the fun she had today, so that made me feel really good!  When we got home we played outside a little more.  When it was time to feed Lainey, Addie came up to sit on the porch with us and fell asleep!  I think she had FUN!!

She moved to a more comfortable position????

I can't get enough of Lainey's smiles!  She has lots of them and likes to share!!

Tonight we went to Uncle Max's game and watched him pitch a great game!

Addie didn't watch much of the game, her friend Lexi was there.  How cute are they?!!

Tomorrow we have a little picnic planned.  Soaking up the remainder of my maternity leave with the girls.  I have a feeling that our lives will be a little chaotic for the next few weeks, so I apologize if I lack on the blog posts in advance!

Photos from the phone of a momma...

This is pretty much our week, wrapped up in pictures!  I have my phone with me all the time, so I am always taking pictures.  The other nice part, is that they automatically get backed up online!  It's worry free and a great way for this momma to take all the pictures she wants!

Miss Lainey loves her bumbo seat.  The funny part is attempting to get her out without her legs getting stuck and picking up the whole seat!

Emma and Addie...

This photo comes with a funny story...  Maybe we have been to a few too many garage sales, maybe she is learning tricks from her Grandpa and Grandma G.  I don't know, but today Addie set up her own little store.  She was selling her sister's toys! lol!!

Lainey in her jumperoo...she seems to enjoy it for short periods of time!

Addie, Max, and Grandpa playing baseball.  Grandpa was trying to teach her how to catch with a glove!

Uncle Max and Lainey in a deep conversation...

Sleeping babe.

Addie painting momma's nails!

This cutie fell asleep watching a movie.  I looked at her and couldn't believe just how fast she has grown up.

This girl is always full of smiles.  She is such a happy babe!

Daddy and Addie having a water fight!

Lainey having a conversation with her duck.

Neck kisses from daddy!

Feeling refreshed after a bath!

Detective Addie.

Can't believe how tall this girl is getting!

Alaina's baptism

On Sunday we celebrated Alaina's baptism.  It was a crazy day to say the least!  First we were running late for church, when we got there I had realized that I forgot to plug in some of the food, right before the baptism Dan leans over and whispers to me, "I hope Lainey doesn't have a blow out in her baptism outfit."  I don't think 2 minutes had even passed and she had a blow out.  Not only did she have poo all over herself, but also on my mom's white shirt!  Thankfully she allowed me enough time before we had to go up to get her all cleaned up!  I brought our good camera, which our family couldn't run well, so not very many of our pictures turned out during the baptism...  I could go on and on.  To say the least I was truly stressed over the whole deal.  Then it occurred to me.  The day wasn't about ANY of that.  God sure sent me a message loud and clear.  The day was about celebrating Alaina being welcomed into God's family.  End of story.  And that she was!  Our little Alaina was baptised, and that is all that mattered!

Thankfully, the rest of the day went well.  We celebrated with our family at our house, and after everyone left we even got a family nap! It was wonderful.

Alaina looked so adorable in her outfit.  Such a pretty little girl!

We at least got this picture, which is perfect!  The water startled her a little, but no tears.

My brother, Steve and Dan's sister, Emily are Alaina's sponsors.

Lainey's cake.  Too bad she couldn't enjoy it, because it was delicious!!
